Good to Know

Health and safety protocols will be observed at all times, including mask-wearing and social distancing.

All staff members and campers are required to wear masks throughout the camp.

Social distancing guidelines will be observed.

Camp activities will be held mostly outdoors.

Camp groups are limited in capacity.

This fall,  travel the globe without leaving Dallas!

Students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 will discover something new at the Dallas Zoo during each of our Fall Weekend and Holiday Camp experiences. All camps include guided tours of the Zoo, animal encounters, and animal-themed activities in a small group led by a Zoo educator. COVID-19 protocols will be in place for Fall and Winter camps.

Day Camps

Fall Weekends

Dates: Select weekend days in October and November.

Time: 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Cost: $55 per child/$50 for Dallas Zoo Members

Weekend camps encourage exploration, education, and empathy for wildlife and nature. Each camp will explore a new theme – join us for one or multiple days!

Winter Break Camps


Dates: Monday through Wednesday during the weeks of Thanksgiving and Winter Break.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., with an AfterCamp option until 5:00 p.m.

Cost: $167 per child/$150 for Dallas Zoo Members

Learn how different cultures celebrate animals around the world or explore how real-life animals have inspired our myths and legends.

All camp participants must be completely toilet trained (meaning not wearing pull-ups, able to manage his/her own clothing, and not requiring assistance in the bathroom).      

Cancellation & Refund Policy
All camp sales are final. No refunds will be given for cancelled camp reservations or camp withdrawals. An education program credit may be issued based on circumstance. Credit will not be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of start date or for no-shows. All programs will take place rain or shine. The Dallas Zoo reserves the right to cancel or change any program for reasons we deem appropriate. In the event that we cancel your program, a credit will be issued and individuals will be contacted directly.
