Good to Know

Health and safety protocols will be observed at all times, including mask-wearing and social distancing.

Students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 will discover something new at the Dallas Zoo during each of our camp experiences. All camps include guided tours of the Zoo, animal encounters, and animal-themed activities in a small group led by a Zoo educator. COVID-19 protocols will be in place for Spring and Summer.

Day Camps

Spring Weekends

Dates: Select weekend days in April and May

Time: 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Cost: $55 per child / $50 for Dallas Zoo Members

Weekend day camps encourage exploration, education, and empathy for wildlife and nature. Each camp will focus on an animal from our Protecting the Twelve campaign – join us for one or multiple days!

Week Long or Single Day

Summer Camps

Dates: June through August

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., with an AfterCamp option until 5:00 p.m.

Cost: price varies, discounts for Dallas Zoo Members

From a dig into prehistoric influences, to an inside look at becoming a Zoo expert, to single day camps exploring art in nature, campers get to experience the best of the Zoo and the great outdoors! All summer camps feature educational tours, games, creative projects, close-up animal encounters, and more. Campers will be grouped by grade level and led through the Zoo in small groups by Zoo Guides.

Current Covid Protocols: All staff members and campers are required to wear masks throughout the camp. Social distancing guidelines will be observed. Camp activities will be held mostly outdoors. Camp groups are limited in capacity.

All camp participants must be completely toilet trained (meaning not wearing pull-ups, able to manage his/her own clothing, and not requiring assistance in the bathroom).      

Cancellation & Refund Policy
All camp sales are final. No refunds will be given for cancelled camp reservations or camp withdrawals. An education program credit may be issued based on circumstance. Credit will not be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of start date or for no-shows. All programs will take place rain or shine. The Dallas Zoo reserves the right to cancel or change any program for reasons we deem appropriate. In the event that we cancel your program, a credit will be issued and individuals will be contacted directly.
