AVIAN FLU UPDATE

You may notice some empty bird and pig/hog habitats, as well as altered programming, as we take precautions for the time being to protect our animals against cases of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) that has been reported within 50 miles. We hope you understand, and we apologize for any disruption in your visit.

Dallas Zoo Wild Adventures Camp

3 to 8 years

WildLife Heroes Club

Children (3 to 8 years) and their parents will meet once a week to forge a connection with nature and each other. Zoo habitat observations, close-up animal interactions, hands-on illustrative activities, and conservation-related take-home journals provide opportunities for young children and their adults to build environmental consciousness while collaborating with others who share their interests.

10 months to 35 months

Stroller Buddies

Toddlers (10 months to 35 months) and their caregivers will love this 6-week program designed to strengthen their attachment to one another while taking their first steps to connect and learn about nature. Options are Wednesdays or Saturdays for your adventure.

3 to 5 years

Friday Safari

Preschoolers (3 to 5 years) are welcome to this drop-off program. Each Friday for 13 weeks, preschoolers can explore the Zoo with our instructors and learn about the world around them through stories, observations, animal interactions, and play.

5 to 8 years

Thursday Safari

School-aged learners (5 to 8 years) are welcome each Thursday to this drop-off program.  Animal visits, observations, and stories will inspire exploration of concepts through art, STEM activities, active games, and conservation activities.

Children & Families

Homeschool Day

Take a STEMwalk with us at the Dallas Zoo and discover math all around us. Together we’ll explore patterns in nature, numbers behind scientific topics, and practice thinking like a scientist.

Children & Families

Sensory Friendly Night

Join us for a night where families and adults with sensory sensitivities can enjoy the holiday lights events without the stimulation of a typical Dallas Zoo Lights night.
