Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I come early and see the animals before Dallas Zoo Lights
opens at 5 p.m.?
Sure! Your Dallas Zoo Lights tickets also includes general admission for the Zoo that day. Come before 4 p.m. and enjoy the animals, then stay for holiday festivities at night. The animals will head in for the day at 4 p.m., but you’re welcome to stay in the park until the lights come on at 5 p.m.! 4-5 p.m. is a great time to grab a bite to eat at one of our restaurants. Or get your hand stamped, and come back anytime that night.
If I’m a member, do I have to buy tickets?
Nope! Dallas Zoo Lights is included with your membership. Members can present their digital membership cards when they arrive for free admission. Members can always purchase discounted tickets for extra guests not covered by their membership. Click here to login and access guest prices.
What is Adults-Only Night?
Adults-Only Night is an evening at Dallas Zoo Lights, without the kids! We’ll have specialty adult beverages, giant jenga, and more on November 29. FREE for Dallas Zoo Members. Guests must be 21 or older to enter.
Is Dallas Zoo Lights a rain or shine event?
Yes! However, we highly suggest checking the weather before you attend and dressing accordingly. Most of the Zoo Lights activities take place outdoors, so it might get chilly! We do have several marked locations throughout ZooNorth for you to go inside and warm up, though.
What’s the best way to get to Dallas Zoo Lights?
You can take either the Ewing Ave. or Marsalis Ave. exit from I-35E. However, be sure to check our website or social media channels for any traffic updates that may come up related to TxDOT’s Southern Gateway Project. We also suggest using the Waze app to find your best route, or take the DART Red Line to avoid traffic completely!
