Safari Nights

Safari Nights is included with your general Dallas Zoo admission — no extra ticket required. Stay after hours to enjoy a different cover band on select event dates. The event is free for all guests with Zoo admission.

• Parking is not included with Safari Nights or general admission tickets. Parking is sold separately and can be purchased online or at the Zoo. Dallas Zoo members enjoy free parking!

• Please plan accordingly as Halperin Park is open during Safari Nights. To avoid any parking delays, we recommend taking DART or using DART Park & Ride.

We encourage guests to purchase their tickets online.  

The outdoor concert series starts at 8:30 p.m. before the Zoo closes at 9 p.m.

Many of our animals are behind the scenes by 5 p.m., but we will have special Keeper Chats and Ambassador Animal presentations scheduled during Safari Nights between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. This event is designed for enjoying live cover bands at the Zoo and is free to attend with general Zoo admission. We encourage guests to arrive early if you would like to see the animals before they go to bed. 

Restaurants, food trucks, adult beverages, and snack bars will be available during Safari Nights in ZooNorth. You can upgrade your Safari Nights experience by adding a chair or cabana rental to your online ticket purchase.

• Chair Rental
  • Adirondack chair rental – $5
    • Chair rental pickup and drop-off: On the corner of The Grove near the flamingo habitat.
    • Please return all chairs before the Zoo closes.
• Cabana Rental
  • Private cabanas are available during Safari Nights. They include six (6) Adirondack chairs, an oscillating fan, a small table, and an ice bin with six (6) water bottles.
  • Cabanas are limited per night. We encourage guests to book your cabana in advance online when you purchase your tickets to secure your preferred seating for the concerts.

• Cabana Rental Check-in: If you purchased a cabana rental for Safari Nights, please check in at the Information Tent located at the corner of The Grove near the flamingo habitat.  

Certain areas of the Zoo will be closed during Safari Nights, as most activities take place in ZooNorth. Check our event schedule to plan your visit.

The Zoo is open rain or shine, and the event will take place as long as there is no dangerous weather forecasted in the area. In the event of severe weather, we will contact guests by email with event updates.
