What does it take to survive on the savanna? Learn all about the specialized adaptations of the predators and prey who call the Dallas Zoo’s Giants of the Savanna home, and how their wild counterparts live in this Zoo instructor-led tour. Guided tours are 60 minutes long.

Guided Tour: Destination Conservation
What does it mean to be endangered? How do wildlife biologists know when an animal needs additional protection, and how do we protect that animal? What is the role of a zoo in endangered species conservation? Through this instructor-led guided tour, students will learn the answers to these and more questions, while learning a little about the endangered species that call the Dallas Zoo home. Guided tours are 60 minutes long.

Program Times – Programs are offered Monday through Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Cost – $180 (up to 20 students). $9/per additional student. All program prices include field trip admission and 1 free adult per 10 students. *Prices are subject to change.

Guided tours must be paid in full at least one (1) week prior to the scheduled program date. Refunds will not be given for cancellations made within two weeks of the scheduled date.
