Green-cheeked Conure

SCIENTIFIC NAME:
Pyrrhura molinae
PROFILE:

The green-cheeked conure is a very social bird with a big personality in a small body. They are primarily herbivores but will eat insects when the opportunity arises. Because they cannot digest an insect’s hard exoskeleton, they can be seen peeling it off before eating the inside. Our green-cheeked conure often hangs out with our staff in Travis & Zach’s Birds Landing.
