The Dallas Zoo announces its new Zoo Tunes Concert Series, produced in partnership with Kessler Entertainment Group. The first show on Saturday, August 11, features The King Bucks, hitting the stage at 8 p.m. The opening band kicks off the concert at 7 p.m. with a special SOAR, A Festival of Flightbird show at 6:30 p.m.  The King Bucks’ music forges a unique union between traditional country, boogie, rockabilly, and soul.Sections of ZooNorth will be open throughout the evening, including animal exhibits such as the new Koala Walkabout presented by Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Wings of Wonder, Primate Place, the Herpetarium, and Bug U!.

With a free bounce house, $5 camel rides, and $2 Endangered Species Carousel rides, Zoo Tunes is an evening full of entertainment for the whole family. Lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers are permitted. Festival food as well as beer and wine will be available for purchase; no outside alcohol will be allowed.

Additional event dates in the Zoo Tunes Concert Series include Friday, September 14, featuring Satisfaction, the international touring tribute to the World’s Greatest Rock & Roll Band: The Rolling Stones, and Saturday, October 6, featuring FastLane, the Southwest’s premier tribute band to the Eagles.
