Spring Break Camp at the Dallas Zoo March 11-15

The fun begins at 9 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m. each day, with Before Camp and After Camp sessions available. In addition, the Zoo is introducing a special one-day camp for children in kindergarten through 5th grade on March 27 for those with vacations before Easter.

DALLAS ZOO NAMES CHRISTOPHER J. BONAR, V.M.D., DIPL. A.C.Z.M. DIRECTOR OF ANIMAL HEALTH

Christopher J. Bonar, V.M.D., Dipl. A.C.Z.M. has been appointed as the director of animal health for Dallas Zoo Management Inc. He will oversee and lead the department of animal health and nutrition.



Everyone Gets In for $5 During Penguin Days

The temperature is dropping and so is the price of admission to the Dallas Zoo. Everyone age 3 and up, including adults and seniors, can visit the African penguins and all the other animals at the Dallas Zoo for just $5 per person during the months of January and February.



DALLAS ZOO ON TRACK FOR MAJOR, RECORD-BREAKING YEAR IN 2012!

The Dallas Zoo today announced that 2012 is on track to become a record-setting year with the highest attendance in its 124-year history, a projected 880,000 guests.



DALLAS ZOO NAMES MARTI COPELAND DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION

Marti Copeland has been appointed as the director of education for Dallas Zoo Management Inc. She will oversee and direct all aspects of the Dallas Zoo’s Education department and help provide programming to the community.



We’re Having a Knock-Down, Haul-Out Demolition Day at the Large Mammal Building

The Dallas Zoo began demolition of the Large Mammal Building in ZooNorth on Wednesday, December 5 at 1:30 p.m., to make way for a new green space, featuring a grassy lawn, picnic tables, climate-controlled rest rooms, and lighting for evening events.



Shed Your Winter Coat at the Dallas Zoo for Those in Need

Donate a new or gently used coat, blanket, or sleeping bag December 1 or 2 and receive FREE admission to the Dallas Zoo on that day for each item donated. The coat drive takes place on Saturday, December 1, and Sunday, December 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.



CHARGE THROUGH THE ZOO WHEN RUNNING FOR RHINOS ON NOVEMBER 10

The 5K race starts at the Zoo entrance at 8:15 a.m. and the route travels along roads around the Zoo perimeter and concludes at Cat Green in ZooNorth. The family fun run begins at 8:00 a.m. and the course remains inside the Zoo.



Ghostly Fun for Halloween Nights at the Dallas Zoo on October 25 – 28

Costumed children become our creatures of the night when they attend Halloween Nights at the Dallas Zoo. The gates at 5 p.m. Admission is $10 per person ages 3 and older, which includes six coupons to use at the candy stations.
