School’s out, adventure’s in! Give your K–8th grader a summer to remember with our weeklong Summer Camps at the Dallas Zoo. Led by our expert Zoo Guides, each camp week is packed with hands-on learning, games, and unforgettable encounters. Whether your child is wild about reptiles or curious about conservation, this is the perfect way to spend their summer break.

Campers should provide their own sack lunch and a refillable water bottle.

(K-6) Safari Squad

(K-3) Creative Creatures

Every day is a new adventure — whether sketching animals, designing eco‑friendly crafts, or sharing stories inspired by the Zoo’s incredible animals. Campers leave with not only their own masterpieces but also a deeper appreciation for wildlife and the environment.

(4-6) Keeper Camp
$340 for public / $305 for Dallas Zoo Members
Step into the wild and discover what it takes to be a real zoologist! During this weeklong adventure at the Dallas Zoo, campers will explore the fascinating world of animal care, conservation, and research. Through hands-on activities, behind-the-scenes experiences, and close encounters with incredible wildlife, campers will learn the skills and knowledge needed to understand and protect animals.

(6-8) Digital Safari
$340 for public / $305 for Dallas Zoo Members
This one-of-a-kind experience invites campers to step behind the lens and capture the magic of the animal kingdom. Guided by expert instructors, participants will learn the art of composition, lighting, and storytelling while exploring the Zoo’s diverse habitats.

This is your chance to help us design a real Zoo exhibit! At the Zoo by Design Camp, creativity meets conservation as you and your Project Design Team collaborate with zookeepers, Zoo educators, facility operations, and other experts to bring bold ideas to life.
