Boards of Directors

Two not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organizations jointly manage the Dallas Zoo.  Each organization has a governing board of directors.

Dallas Zoo Management, Inc. is the operating company for the Zoo and is responsible for the following functions:  animal management; guest services; animal nutrition and veterinary care; conservation science and research; education; exhibit development; facilities and grounds; and ticketing and revenue activities.

The Dallas Zoological Society provides the following services:  fundraising and development; membership; volunteer services; public and private events; and marketing, advertising, and public relations on behalf of the Dallas Zoo.
