The Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park
Come see the “greatest hits” of the sea at the new Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park. Kids will love viewing sharks, jellyfish, eels, rays, piranhas, turtles, clown fish, and other species from popular movies and books. The child-friendly design offers interactive exhibits for hands-on exploration, with a coastal touch-pool filled with slipper lobsters, horseshoe crabs, sea urchins, and other creatures.
Venture to the outdoor pavilion to visit Stingray Bay, where guests can feed and interact with cownose rays in a touch pool. Nearby, they can watch zebra, bonnethead, and other sharks swimming in a larger pool.
The Aquarium offers daily feeding demonstrations at 2:30 p.m. Visitors can feed animals in Stingray Bay daily beginning at 10 a.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for children 3 to 11, and free for children age 2 and younger. Annual passes are $20 for adults ($15 for DZS members) and $15 for ages 3-11 ($10 for DZS members). Hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Aquarium is located at 1462 First Ave. in the shadow of the Texas Star Ferris wheel.
