We are excited to have you join us for Sensory Friendly Day at the Dallas Zoo! Sensory Friendly Day at the Dallas Zoo is thoughtfully designed for individuals on the autism spectrum or those with sensory sensitivities. The Dallas Zoo invites families to explore the Zoo with reduced noise, crowds, and stimulation, allowing our sensory friends to fully experience the wonders of the wild in a comfortable environment.

Pricing:

  • $10 per person | FREE for Dallas Zoo Members*

*Members, we ask that you register in advance so we can ensure sensory-friendly crowds at this event.

Plan Your Day:

  • Arrive as early as 8 a.m. and stay at the Zoo as long as you’d like!
  • Sensory Friendly Day activities will be open until 11 a.m.
  • Stop by the Sensory Friendly Day booth in the Main Entry Plaza to pick up your wristband.
  • Parking will be at the main parking lot off of R.L. Thornton Freeway
    650 South R.L. Thornton Freeway (I-35E), Dallas, TX 75203.

    • Via car: Take the Ewing Ave. / Marsalis Ave. exit from I-35E. Our main entrance is located by the tall giraffe statue, on the northbound access road of I-35E.
    • Via DART: Take the DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) RED LINE to the Dallas Zoo Station.

  • Conservation activity
  • Sensory spaced facilitated by occupational therapy students from Texas Woman’s University
