Join the Dallas Zoo’s Wild Earth Action Team and help create a better world for bats, September 4-5.

Enjoy a weekend in Austin and San Antonio learning about bats and supporting bat conservation. We’ll cruise Lady Bird Lake to toast the world’s largest urban bat colony (1.5 million) as they leave their roosts beneath the Congress Avenue Bridge in Austin. Sunday, we will work with our partners at Bat Conservation International (BCI) on a service project at Bracken Cave – where 15 million Mexican free-tailed bats raise their pups; this project will support BCI and bat habitat. Later, we’ll witness the extraordinary emergence when the bats leave Bracken Cave to feed that evening.

Recommended for ages 6 and up. Registration includes all programs, special tours, and all meals on Sunday. Transportation and lodging are not included.
