GUEST SERVICES DIRECTOR
We have an exceptional career opportunity for a Guest Services Director. The Guest Services Director will be responsible for managing, planning and scheduling staff and operations for the Guest Services department at the Zoo. Other responsibilities will include:
Managing parking, admissions, amusement rides and tours, scheduling, ticket sales, revenue collection and reconciliation.
Responsible for 17+ full time staff including temporary and seasonal employees.
Coordinating group sales admissions and collections with education programming and group sales staff.
Managing complimentary ticket requests.
Providing directions and information services to guests.
Receiving, resolving, tracking and analyzing customer suggestions and concerns.
Inspecting the park daily and providing recommendations for visitor experience improvements.
Assisting with budget preparation. Monitor and report tour revenues and expenses.
Coordinating staff training in system operation, customer service, safety, and environmental mgmt.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have six years of experience in a recreation or amusement park or facility. Most recent two years experience must have been in a management or supervisory role.
Bachelor Degree in business administration, public administration, recreation management or a related field. An additional two years related experience may substitute for the Bachelor Degree.
Experience must include managing or supervising multiple cashiers.
Must be able to operate web-based Point of Sale (POS) system. Experience with Gateway Ticketing a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking/writing skills are a plus.
