Single-Day Camps

PreK – Grade 5

March 13 – 17, 2017

BeforeCamp 8–9 a.m.
AfterCamp 4–6 p.m.

This spring break, campers will be shipwrecked around the world and explore the unique habitats and animals at each location. Every single-day camp features a Zoo tour, games, crafts, and animal encounters unique to each exciting theme. Spring Break Camps are open to all kids in PreK-Grade 5. Register for one day or come for them all! Register for more than one day and receive a 5% multiple camp discount on the total camp cost.*

Camp Class Grade Levels: PreK (age 3-5), K- 1st, 2nd– 3rd, 4th– 5th

Forest – Monday, March 13

One-third of the Earth is covered in forests! Explore the different types of forests and the amazing animals that are adapted to living in this environment.

Coast – Tuesday, March 14

Discover the boundaries between the ocean and land by learning about the unique adaptations of animals that call this daily changing landscape home.

Savanna – Wednesday, March 15

The African Savanna spans over 25 countries! Campers will discover the importance of speed, camouflage, and other adaptations that help animals thrive in the savanna.

Traverse the highest peaks in this camp! Campers will explore the animal characteristics that help this exceptional group live in the mountain environment.

The great state of Texas is home to diverse ecosystems and wildlife. Campers will explore these different ecosystems and the animals that share our home state.

All campers are now required to have an Immunization Record Form on file to participate in camp. Your camper(s) form will be attached to your confirmation email that will be sent once registration is completed. Please, complete the form and bring it with you to your first day of camp. *Registrations must be completed as a single transaction to receive 5% multiple camp discount. Member discounts cannot be retroactively added on to camp registration. If you do not have your member number during registration, contact Dallas Zoo Membership 469.554.7400.


Cancellation and Refund Policy: All camps will take place rain or shine and all camp sales are final. No refunds will be given for cancelled camp reservations or camp withdrawals. A program credit may be issued based on circumstance. The credit may be used for any education program or camp at the Dallas Zoo. Credit will not be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled enrollment or for no-show participants. All changes or cancellations must be submitted in writing to The Dallas Zoo and Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park reserves the right to cancel or change any program for reasons we deem appropriate. In the event that we cancel your program, a full refund will be issued and individuals will be contacted directly.


We strictly enforce grade level requirements. Campers enrolled in the wrong grade level will be given the opportunity to transfer into the appropriate grade level camp or be placed on the waitlist if the appropriate camp is sold out. Refunds will not be given for campers enrolled in the wrong grade level.
