Concert Series Includes Dallas Area Food Trucks – Friday, September 14

The Dallas Zoo hosts its second Zoo Tunes Concert, produced in partnership with Kessler Entertainment Group, on Friday, September 14.  Guests can enjoy live music, animal exhibits, food trucks, and much more.  The headlining band, which performs at 8 p.m., is Satisfaction, the international touring tribute show to the World’s Greatest Rock & Roll Band: The Rolling Stones.  Advance tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children (ages 3-11) and day-of tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children.  Members of the Dallas Zoo receive a discount.  Parking is $5 per vehicle and can be pre-purchased online.

The Dallas Zoo gates open at 6 p.m.  Prior to the band’s performance, a special presentation of SOAR, A Festival of Flight bird show will begin at 6:30 p.m.  Sections of ZooNorth will be open throughout the evening, including animal exhibits such as the new Koala Walkabout presented by Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Wings of Wonder, Primate Place, Herpetarium, and Bug U!.          

The Zoo Tunes concert offers free bounce houses, $5 camel rides, $2 Endangered Species Carousel rides, and a night full of fantastic music for the whole family.  Lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers are permitted.  Festival food from Dallas area food trucks as well as beer and wine will be available for purchase; no outside alcohol will be allowed.

“We are excited to host the second of our Zoo Tunes concerts,” said Gregg Hudson, executive director of the Dallas Zoo and Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park. “This family-friendly outdoor concert brings the best of music, animals, and food trucks together in the perfect setting.”

 The third and final show in the Zoo Tunes Concert Series is Saturday, October 6, featuring FastLane, the Southwest’s premier tribute band to the Eagles.
