Spring Break Camp at the Dallas Zoo March 11-15
Jan 28, 2013

Introducing longer camp time and a special day camp on March 27.
Registration opens January 28.

Let’s Get Outside by signing up your children for spring break camp at the Dallas Zoo. Campers will learn scientific principles while they enjoy outdoor adventures March 11 – 15.

The fun begins at 9 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m. each day, with Before Camp and After Camp sessions available. In addition, the Zoo is introducing a special one-day camp for children in kindergarten through 5th grade on Wednesday, March 27, for those with vacations before Easter.

Begin the week as “Budding Biologists,” using microscopes, magnifying glasses, and other tools to explore the natural world. Make a marvelous mess on “Dig in the Dirt” day while discovering bugs, worms, and other crawling creatures in the Underzone and at Bug U! In “Backyard Biologists,” identify critters and habitats that may be outside your home. In “Signs of Spring,” experience the sights, sounds, and smells of the season and learn about animals that go through hibernation, transformation, and migration. Our “Planet Protectors” class involves learning how to make a difference in the world and ways to help endangered species.

Each day, campers in pre-K through 5th grade are grouped by grade level to enjoy daily adventures inside the Zoo, as well as activities, arts and crafts, games, and up close animal experiences. Sign up for one day or a full week of camp ($45 members/$50 non-members per day). Multiple-day and multiple-child discounts are available. Before Camp is available from 8 to 9 a.m. ($5 members/$6 non-members per day), and After Camp is available from 4 to 6 p.m. ($10 members/$12 non-members per day).
