Dallas Zoo offers half-price summer special before dinos disappear
Aug 2, 2015

For a “last blast from the past,” admission 50% off through Aug. 31

WHAT:  STARTING TOMORROW: Giants of the Jurassic ends in just over a month, and the zoo is launching a half-price summer special so everyone can catch them before they go extinct. Admission is 50% off through Aug. 31: adult tickets (ages 12-64) are $7.50, and children 3-11 and seniors (65 and up) are $6. Children 2 and younger and Dallas Zoo members always receive free admission. (Giants of the Jurassic is included with admission.)

WHEN:  Through Aug. 31, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHERE:  650 S. R.L. Thornton Freeway
Dallas, TX 75203

WHY:  In honor of the Giants of the Jurassic ending after Sept. 7, the Zoo is offering half-off pricing through Aug. 31 for those who haven’t had a chance to discover the more than 25 roaring, animatronic dinosaurs; the theatrical puppet experience of Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live; the T-Rex Express mini train; fossil dig boxes; and DinoSOAR, the interactive wildlife show presented by Kimberly-Clark. And to beat the heat, the lower admission offers a chance to enjoy the cool of the nation’s most venomous Herpetarium, the creepy-crawlies of Bug U!, facts about great apes at the Jake L. Hamon Gorilla Conservation Research Station, and the trumpeting of elephants in the Simmons Safari Base Camp at the Giants of the Savanna.
