You’re Invited to the Dallas Zoo’s 125th Birthday Party on April 6 and 7!

No need to bring gifts. This is a party for you! To thank everyone for 125 years of support, the Dallas Zoo is celebrating its birthday with a big bash on Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7.



Wild Encounters at the Dallas Zoo

Increasing opportunities for greater interaction between animals and guests, the Dallas Zoo is introducing the Wild Encounters Stage at the Ndebele Plaza in the Wilds of Africa, which opens April 5.



Something New for the Zoo – Safari Express Pulls into Dallas

The Safari Express pulls into the new Picnic Ridge area at ZooNorth on April 5. The kid-sized, all-electric trackless train is decorated with animal graphics and equipped with a smoke machine and sound effects as it winds its way around Picnic Ridge.



Wine and Dine at Giants of the Savanna on April 8

Watch the sun set over our award-winning Giants of the Savanna exhibit while enjoying a five-course meal prepared by the Dallas Zoo’s Executive Chef Dan Bevis and expertly paired with fine wines from Siduri Wines and Novy Family Winery.



Homeschool Families Get Away at the Dallas Zoo on April 8

Homeschooling is no vacation, and families that educate children at home often utilize programs developed by educators at the Dallas Zoo. Students develop observation skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities through studying biology, genetics, nutrition, measurement, and more.



Dallas Zoo Offers Nature Photography Workshop and Photo Safari on March 23

Photo enthusiasts who wish to expand their knowledge of wildlife photography are invited to attend a unique Photo Safari and Workshop at the Dallas Zoo on Saturday, March 23, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Spring Break Camp at the Dallas Zoo March 11-15

The fun begins at 9 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m. each day, with Before Camp and After Camp sessions available. In addition, the Zoo is introducing a special one-day camp for children in kindergarten through 5th grade on March 27 for those with vacations before Easter.



Adopt an Aussie for Your Valentine

Greet your loved one with a g’day and the gift of a cuddly koala on Valentine’s Day. This magnificent package comes complete with a small plush koala, a photo that is suitable for framing, two tickets to the Zoo so you can make a date to visit the Koala Walkabout presented by Kimberly-Clark Corporation, and much more.



DALLAS ZOO NAMES CHRISTOPHER J. BONAR, V.M.D., DIPL. A.C.Z.M. DIRECTOR OF ANIMAL HEALTH

Christopher J. Bonar, V.M.D., Dipl. A.C.Z.M. has been appointed as the director of animal health for Dallas Zoo Management Inc. He will oversee and lead the department of animal health and nutrition.
