Q: How do I join Dallas Zoo membership?

Just choose the method that works best for you.

 

 Q: How long does my membership last?

Your membership is valid for 365 days from the date of purchase, so you receive a full year of Zoo fun! If you choose to renew your membership before your current membership expires, we’ll add another full 12 months to your expiration date.

 

 Q: How do I use my free admission and parking to get into the Zoo?

As a Dallas Zoo member, you have access to your Digital Membership Cards at My.DallasZoo.com. This card is your parking pass, entry ticket, and monorail and carousel tickets all rolled into one. Pull your card up on your phone or tablet, and we’ll scan it. It’s that easy!

 

 Q: I still have a paper membership card. How do I get into the Zoo?

That’s okay! We encourage you create your member profile at My.DallasZoo.com. If you prefer, though, you can keep using your paper cards through the end of your membership. You will need to continue to stop by the Member Services booth to get your tickets for the day.

 

 Q: What is Direct Access?

For the first time ever, Dallas Zoo members can skip the member lines. Walk past the Member Services booth and straight to the ticket-takers. They’ll scan your Digital Membership Card(s) and you’ll stroll right into the Zoo! To enjoy this benefit, activate your account on My.DallasZoo.com, and set up your Digital Membership Cards by going to “Manage My Household”.

 Q: Can I purchase a membership on the day I want to visit the Zoo?

Yes! You may purchase a membership at the Member Services booth located at the front entrance and use your admission privileges that same day.

 

Q: Can I apply my General Admission tickets towards a Dallas Zoo membership?

Yes! At any point in your visit, you can apply your General Admission tickets toward a membership by visiting the Member Services Booth. We can deduct the price of your visit, including parking and admission, from your donation so you can enjoy a full year of membership!

 

 Q: Is it necessary to display a Zoo decal on my car to receive free Zoo parking?

No. Your Digital Membership Card is what allows you to receive your free parking benefit. Simply show your card to the parking attendant as you enter the parking lot, and they’ll scan you in to access your parking benefit.

 

 Q: Can a friend or family member use my membership card?

No. Memberships are nontransferable and are valid only for the named members of your household. To add or edit your cards, visit “Access Digital Card(s)”. You will be asked for your membership card when entering the Zoo.

 

 Q: Can my kids visit the Zoo without me?

Your children or grandchildren are part of your membership, and have access to all the great benefits included. If you’ve created a Digital Membership Card for them, they can show it at any ticket-taking location to access free admission, parking, and more.

 

 Q: Is my membership payment tax-deductible?

The Dallas Zoo is a non-profit organization pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Please consult with your tax advisor to determine if your Dallas Zoo purchase or donation is tax deductible in whole or in part.

 

 Q: Is my Dallas Zoo membership good at other zoos and aquariums?

Yes! Download the list of 150 zoos and aquariums offering discounted or free admission to Dallas Zoo members.

 

 Q: Do you offer a corporate employee discount?

The Zoo offers a 10% discount on Individual-Plus, Family, Family-Plus, and Passport memberships to employees of several local organizations.  Q: I recently renewed my membership. Why did I receive another renewal notice?

Although we work to process renewals as quickly as possible, there is a chance that you may receive a second notice before your payment has been processed and entered into our system. If you have renewed your membership, please disregard further renewal notices. If you have any questions regarding your renewal, please email Members@DallasZoo.com or call 469.554.7400.

 

Q: How do I purchase a gift membership?

Visit my.DallasZoo.com/Gift to purchase a gift. While you’re there, you’ll have the choice of sending the gift to you or to your recipient. We’ll send you an email confirmation either way, and the person you designated will receive a letter along with a paper gift membership certificate. To activate their membership, your recipient only needs to follow the instructions on the certificate! The membership is redeemable for up to one year after purchase, and is good for a full year from the date it’s activated.
