Q. What if I don’t want to order my membership online?

Q. Is membership based on the calendar year?
Your membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase, so you receive a full 12 months of Zoo and Aquarium fun!
Q. When will I receive my membership card?
Your membership card will be mailed within 14 days. If you do not receive your card by then, please e-mail members@DallasZoo.com or call the Membership Department at 469.554.7400, and we will check on it for you.
Q. How many membership cards will I receive?
Individual-Plus members receive one card. All memberships at the Family and above levels automatically receive two cards with both adult names on the cards.
Q. What if my membership card is lost or stolen?
You can order a replacement membership card by contacting the Membership Department by e-mailing members@DallasZoo.com or by calling 469.554.7400 or by making the request at the Membership Booth at the Zoo. There is a $5 fee for replacement cards.
Q. Can I purchase a membership on the day I want to visit the Zoo or the Aquarium?
For the Zoo, you can purchase a membership at the Membership Booth located at the front entrance and use your admission privileges on that same day. For the Aquarium, you will need to purchase your membership in advance of your visit.
Q. Is it necessary to display the DZS decal on my car to receive free Zoo parking?
No. Your membership card is what allows you to receive your free parking privilege. Simply show your current card to the parking attendant as you enter the parking lot.
Q. Can a friend or family member use my membership card?
No. Memberships are nontransferable and are valid only for the person (or persons) whose name(s) appears on the card. This is why you must show a photo ID when you enter the Zoo or Aquarium using your membership. As a nonprofit organization that relies heavily on membership and attendance for support, we must prevent misuse of our membership cards. Otherwise, the loss of revenue would require us to raise prices.
Q. Is my membership payment tax-deductible?
Yes. For membership categories through the Family level, your entire contribution is tax-deductible for income tax purposes. For higher levels of membership, a portion of your payment is tax-deductible. Deductible amounts can be found under the membership levels.
Q. Is my Dallas Zoological Society membership good at other zoos and aquariums?

Q. Can I renew my membership online?
Yes! Simply fill out the online application.
Q. I recently renewed my membership. Why did I receive another renewal notice?
Although we work to process renewals as quickly as possible, there is a chance that you may receive a second notice before your payment has been processed and entered into our system. If you have renewed your Dallas Zoological Society membership, please disregard further renewal notices.
