PROFILE:

Tigers are the largest member of the cat family. Their size, coat color, and markings vary among the remaining subspecies. Primarily solitary creatures, their striped coats provide excellent camouflage among the tall grasses and forests of their native habitats. Unlike other species of cats, tigers are competent swimmers! You might see ours taking a dip in their pool. The Dallas Zoo is home to both Sumatran and Malayan tigers.
