PROFILE:

Cougars are able to jump as far as 45 feet and can be found all around North and South America. They’re known by a variety of names, including cougar, mountain lion, and panther. They can run up to 50 mph and can jump vertically up to 10 feet.

All across Central through Western parts of North America, down to the Northern parts of South America and into Chile.

Currently stable, but population is decreating

SOCIAL STATUS:
Males and females live relatively solitary lives and only come together to mate. Often there are several females in a males territory.
