Standing about 4 feet tall, secretary birds spend most of their time on the ground hunting for prey. They are one of the only birds that hunt on foot. These long-legged birds spend their nights in acacia trees. Secretary birds hunt in pairs or small groups and have unique hunting methods, like flapping their wings as a distraction.
