African Fish Eagle

SCIENTIFIC NAME:
Haliaeetus vocifer
PROFILE:

This regal-looking bird is a skilled hunter, spending less than 10 minutes each day searching for live fish, small birds, small reptiles, or insects. It is not always successful, catching food once every seven tries, but it looks impressive flying low over the water with its wings held out and its talons extending in front of its body. Does this bird remind you of any North American eagle?
