Dallas Zoo's 6th Annual Photography Contest
Do you find yourself bringing your camera to the Zoo every time you visit? You should enter the Dallas Zoo's Feathers Fur & Scales Photography Contest to show us your real talent! So whether you're a young enthusiast or a seasonal shooter, this is your chance to take your best shot!

• Entrants may particpate in only one category.
• Only photographs taken on the Dallas Zoo or The Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park grounds between April 1, 2008 and September 30, 2008 are eligible for competition.
• All Dallas Zoo or The Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park subject matter is eligible, however, preference will be given to photos of animals currently contained in the Zoo and Aquarium collections.
  *Employees and families of Arlington Camera, Camera Stop, Canon USA, Cooter's Village Camera, Coupralux, Fort Worth Camera, the Dallas Zoo and The Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park, Dallas Zoological Society, Garland Camera, Nikon USA, Red River Paper, Wolf Camer, and Werner Publishing are not eligible to participate.

Photograph Requirements & Rules

• The entrant must take all photogrpahs.
• Slides will not be accepted.
• Entries may be taken with either film or digital cameras and printed on photographic or inkjet paper.
• Each entrant may submit up to three (3) prints per $15.00 entry fee.
• Each entry will consist of one to three, unframed, unmatted 8x10 color or black and white prints.
• Each print must have an official entry I.D. tag securely attached on the back of each print. Photocopies are acceptable. Form should include entrant's name, address, phone number, e-mail address and eligible category.
• Unlabeled entries will be disqualified.

Entry Fee
The entry fee of $15.00 inlcudes submission of up to three (3) 8x10 prints. Submit check or money order, made payable to Dallas Zoological Society. We do not accept cash.

All photo entries must be addressed to and received by the Dallas Zoological Society by 5pm on September 30, 2008.

Winners' Prizes & Publicity
A first, second, third, honorable mention, and judge's choice winner will be selected within each of the four categories. The winning entries and judge's choice will be exhibited in the Prime Meridian Food Court during the winner's reception held on Sunday, October 19, 2008 from 2-3pm. Prizes will be determined and awarded in each of the categories.

Returns
Entries will not be returned or acknowledged. Photographs remain the copyrighted property of the photographer. Howerver, the Dallas Zoological Society and the Dallas Zoo reserve the non-exclusive right to use the images submitted to the contest for publicity, advertising, promotional, educational, and other purposes without obtaining further permission and/or compensation. The Dallas Zoological Society and the Dallas Zoo will attempt to give credit to the photographer. A signature on the registration form constitutes acceptance of these terms.
